FAQs

  • Life happens and sometimes you’re going to have to cancel a session. However, to accommodate other clients who may wish to book in, I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. Cancellations or changes to sessions within the 48-hour period will be subject to the full session fee. Extenuating circumstances will always be considered, so please reach out if you have concerns.

  • Confidentiality is key for building trust between the client and therapist. What you share in session will remain private except in the following circumstances:

    1. If you or anyone else is at imminent risk of harm

    2. If a child or vulnerable
adult is at risk or is being
      abused or neglected

    3. If ordered by law in a court subpoena

    4. If you provide written consent allowing confidential information to be shared.

Confidentiality will be discussed in depth in the initial session and is an ongoing discussion.

  • Initially, I recommend that individuals attend sessions weekly or bi-weekly. This helps facilitate the building of a strong client-therapist relationship and establish a direction within our work. Over time, clients may want to spread sessions out to give time to practice new skills or book in for a check-in. However, there really are no rules and we can chat about a plan that best meets your needs.

  • The short answer is: it depends. Each client makes shifts at their own pace and has their own goals unique to them. Please bring any questions or concerns you might have to the session so we can discuss them further.

  • Payments via credit card and e-transfers are currently accepted.

  • I offer sliding scale therapy (based on availability) for a maximum of 12 sessions. Please bring this up during your consultation as I want to make therapy as accessible as possible.

  • To hold the designation of RCC, individuals must be members of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and have met specific academic, clinical competence and professional requirements. RCCs are committed to practicing under the BCACC ethical code of conduct and standards of practice

** Since the terms counsellor and therapist are not regulated in BC, I often use them interchangeably description
